About the Event

This workshop is meant for teens and adults, beginners & those beyond are welcome. The focus is to connect with the natural material and how we can make a functional piece from an abundant earth material. We will be creating pieces using handbuilding techniquest.

For an example -  a pinch pot bowl that has sculptural feet. Crows feet, monster feet, witch feet or whatever idea you may bring with you! or A decorative dish for salt, jewelry or palo santo!

There will be a selection of glazes that you may choose from to finish your piece with. The piece will go through a firing and glaze process after the workshop. It will be available for pick-up when completed.

About Lauren :

Growing up surrounded by gardeners and artists, Lauren White's work is inspired by her curiosity of how we can work closely with nature and exist in harmony with what's naturally occurring around us. Lauren best portrays her pull back to nature through her artistic ways, using nature to create useful yet beautiful pieces. She strives to not create waste or add toxic ingredients to the earth but rather keep her materials in the loop of the natural cycles in life.
